Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Enrollment Policy

  2. Age Limit: Children must meet the age criteria specified for each class. For example, children must be of the appropriate age for Class VI at the time of admission.
  3. Residency Requirement: Preference is given to children residing in the district or nearby remote areas.

Admission Process:

  3. Entrance Test: Admission to Class VI is based on the Eklavya Model Residential School Selection Test (EMRSST), which is designed to assess general aptitude and knowledge. The test is objective and conducted annually.

Reservation Policy:

  1. Gender Reservation: There is a reservation for both boys and girls to promote gender equality.
  2. Special Quotas: Reserved seats are allocated to children from particularly disadvantaged backgrounds or special needs.
